Sustainable New Year's Resolutions
Think about creating sustainable New Year's Resolutions. Following are a few ideas.
People: Say something kind to yourself every day. Say something kind to another every day. Send a handwritten card or a letter to someone at least once per month. Quit working through lunch: instead, eat lunch with a friend or colleague, read an educational article, meditate, take yourself on a walk. Keep a gratitude journal and journal every day. Stretch at the start of every day, and begin the day with a cup of warm water with lemon zest.
Profit: Reduce your meat consumption, not only will it enhance your health, you will save money. Pack a lunch and picnic with friends at lunch instead of going out to eat. Eliminate HFC's and GMO's from your diet. Not only will your health improve, but you will save money on food. Save 10% of your take home pay. Tithe, your generosity comes back to you in abundance.
Planet: Reprogram your thermostat up one degree in the summer and down one degree in the winter. Be sure your air conditioning coils both inside and outside are clean. Add attic insulation, add attic vents. Convert all of your household lamps to LED. Wash your clothes in cold water, hang to dry. Take a full shower only every other day, take a sink bath in between to clean the needed body parts. May thru September, only operate appliances before 3 pm or after 7 pm. Unplug phone
chargers and other appliances when not in use. Unplug your internet at bedtime.
Have a happy and abundant 2018!!
